Tampons the toxic brews or Gateway to Freedom ?

Tampons saved me. Saved me from insanity.

How are you supposed to smile and act normal if you are bleeding from down below.

Worse still accumulating all that muck in a pad !

Go through the day as if everything is normal when you are Constantly wet between your legs ? With a thing jutting between them !

Lord ! Anyways I thought I was dying and logically you should no ?

If you are dripping blood on the floor, in the flush and sometimes Lumps ! You Have to be super human to survive that month after month ! Suddenly I feel closer to God ! 😉 Like I am one kinds : ) 😉

Then mum introduced the pads – God if this wasn’t bad enough then the stuff you watched on TV and thought was used for drying the utensils was to be taped onto your underpants and between your legs and that’s how you are supposed to wait till you die?

I know my parents, poor souls they are just being supportive and strong for me and won’t let me feel bad by knowing that

Yes ! It’s time ! You are going to be dead in few days’ time !

I waited for months all together for this ordeal to get over !!!!

Get back to the golden days of non-bleeding but alas it was not meant to be.

College hostel saved the ordeal by introducing Girls best friend- NOOOO not condoms but Tampons !

I never looked back since till I found out the truth about bleached and unbleached tampons.

I took a pause and dug around , found few shiver inducing facts ….

Nothing off the shelf can be trusted. Far from truth, people won’t shy away from harming souls to gain a quick buck ?

Do the karmas come into play here ? Will hiding the truth add to the bad karmas of the person selling it ? Maybe , God knows best.

Dear God – Is there any justice for people who are bad in their lifetime ? It will help tremendously to know…….

Tampon truth:

Choline is used to bleach the cotton- which gets converted to Dioxins. ½ a tea spoon of which is enough to swipe off the planet !

Fibers are being left behind in our bodies which are floating in and around. These can never be removed by Any method…

With a heavy heart I lead you to an eye opening, Shiver inducing truth ladies http://www.subtleenergysolutions.com/toxic-tampons.html

It’s a cycle isn’t it ?

Baby-girl-periods-maiden-women-mother-menopause-grandmother-oldest granny-and it tapers off….burnt or dug in-ed !

Unguarded Freedom always comes at a cost – In this context at the cost of Uterine problems.

Bleach ? yes women have been bleaching their face and bodies for donkies years and skin breathes in everything. Right ?

Hence the conclusion that I draw is our bodies are Toxic already and to top it all, you insert the tampon which is not Organic into your vagina – resulting in Dioxin.

Fame of Deadly Dioxin ?

“Dioxin is one of the most dangerous chemicals on the planet and literally a tablespoon [of it] would kill everyone on the planet,”. “It’s that deadly.” AND

“Chlorine, whether in laundry, swimming pools, or in tampons, breaks down into a deadly chemical called dioxin.”

Tampons are made of a variety of ingredients, “Tampons are not just cotton,” Perlingieri said. “They are made of dyes, fragrances, super-absorbent chemicals.” She said research has found a link between uterine problems and bleached tampons.

“In the last 25 years, millions of women–teens through women in elder years–have uterine-related troubles,” she said. “Part of the trouble we know from research is directly related to bleaching of tampons.”

Chlorine from bleach eventually turns to dioxin, Perlingieri said. “All tampons are bleached with the exception of two companies,” she said. “Chlorine, whether in laundry, swimming pools, or in tampons, breaks down into a deadly chemical called dioxin.”

“Dioxin is one of the most dangerous chemicals on the planet and literally a tablespoon [of it] would kill everyone on the planet,” she said. “It’s so deadly.”

Jill Wood, an instructor in Penn State’s women’s studies department who received her master’s degree studying menstruation and menstrual health, said she does not use tampons as a precaution for her health and safety.

“I don’t use commercial tampons,” she said. “I don’t think the health risks are reasonable. I also eat organic food. Pesticides and dioxins are not safe in food or tampons.”

She said tampon companies underestimate the effects of dioxin. “Tampon manufacturers say that [tampons] are safe and levels of dioxin are so low that they are almost undetectable,” she said. “[That may be] true, but we only need a small trace amount for dioxin to do damage. It accumulates in our bodies over our lifetime and it’s not something the body can ever get rid of. Ingesting it in food is one thing, but putting it in vaginas is another.”

Tierno said chlorine bleach, while safer than other bleaches, is not safe in respect to the large amount of tampons women can use in their lifetime.

“The chemical used to bleach tampons, chlorine dioxide, is better than chlorine bleaches used previously,” he said. “Even in small amounts, it is no good and many women use tampons throughout their lives. This is quite significant.”

Perlingieri also believes dioxin is unsafe because women use a lot of tampons. “Women use 11 to 12,000 tampons over their life cycle … maybe more with teens using them,” she said. “All that dioxin going into a woman’s bloodstream and all those fibers wandering around in a woman’s body–that’s part of the toxic brew. Tampon companies have known for decades that the ingredients in products are not safe.” Unwrapping the myths more here.

Okay ! Now for some good news : ) there Always is 😉

Little known to us there is this wonder device that our sisters in the west have been using for a Long time. I think culture has a lot to do with this as to why this information is so hidden from us in east but nevertheless; Miss Detective has it and is ready to share 😉

Yes ! It’s creepy, clumsy, silly piece of silicon at the looks of it    B   U   T , quick smart thinking and rethinking tells us we should give it a try !

Because no one else will keep our body healthy for us. We and only we are entrusted with this task.

Most popular brand is Divacup http://www.divacup.com/en/home- I have been trying to source it’s dealership. I want to own this cup !

Methodology to use these God sent cups can be read at http://www.divacup.com/en/home/faqs/ and it shall explain it all !

These are reusable ! For a poor economy as India, I would have believed this would have been our 1st choice and not use-once-throw products like pads and tampons ! If my mom would have introduced this to me long time back and had she been using this all this while. We would have saved …hmmm let me calculate 😉 I push my Math’s ALL THE TIME !

Tampons used during our lifetime= 12,000

1 pack of 32 tampons cost             = 180 /-

Therefore                                              =12000/32*180

INR                                                          = 67500 /-

Me & Mum                                            = 135000 /- so quite a lot ! We could have shopped !!!!

I would have bought Sliver 😉

Well, I will lead you to the well and let you decide if you want to drink from it or not. That’s the karma of an informer and sharer. Rest that follows is the karma of the body/soul as everyone has their own journey to cover and lessons to learn.

I take a bow here and leave you to ponder to the deepest core of your scared vagina’s. The doors that open to the being of a tampon or the squishiness of it with a pad.

Natural Mosquito Trap

Mosquito Trap – An Effective Way

CAUTION:

This information may cause massive loss of jobs in insecticides companies, but it could save thousands of innocent lives from the cruel fate of dengue.

My apologies to all branded insecticides in the marketplace.

This is very easy to make and also it cost unbelievably less.
This will help eradicate Aedes and dengue.

FIGHTING DENGUE MUST START AT EVERY HOME.

Mosquito trap (Dengue prevention)
It’s just a mix of water, brown sugar and yeast.

1. Cut a plastic bottle in half, keep both parts. Can be soft drink bottle as well.
2. Take the lower portion of the bottle. Dissolve the brown sugar in hot water. Let it cool down to ~70 deg F (room temperature).

3. Add the yeast. Carbon dioxide will form. (This will attract the mosquitoes.)
4. Cover the bottle with a dark wrap and insert in the top portion upside down like a funnel. Place it in a corner in your house.

5. In 2 weeks you will be surprised by the number of mosquitoes killed.

Please feel free to share your kills 😉

Too lazy to make ? Okay try this sada desi* readymade option Mashaka from Omved.

Too lazy to buy ?? Okay plant these then

Mosquito Plant- Citronella Grass

The most common plant used as a mosquito repellant is the Citronella Plant, commonly known as the Mosquito Plant. Mosquito Plants are great for planting around the yard because actually do contain citronella. Since they are planted in the spot, they are constantly repelling the mosquito unlike repellent products that only repel when sprayed or lit. Most of us are familiar with citronella candles. Citronella grass is where the oil comes from for these products. This is a tropical plant that grows well over six feet tall, so if you do not have much space it would not be very viable in a small backyard or apartment garden.

Marigolds

Marigolds are another popular mosquito repelling plant. Marigolds have been used for centuries in or around gardens, porches, and other frequented areas. Marigolds come in various shades of golds, yellows, and oranges. They produce beautiful flowers and are great for pots or beds. They are a very common fall flower as well.

Marigolds are also great for other pests. Many rose gardeners plant them near or around roses to help detour other insects such as aphids.

Ageratum

Another great landscaping plant for preventing mosquitoes is Ageratum. Ageratums produce coumarin which gives off a horrible smell that mosquitoes detest. Coumarin is commonly found in commercial repellents. Ageratum is great for your landscape as well and they come in pale blue and white.

Catnip

Catnip can be used for more then just the cats! Catnip is actually the most powerful mosquito repellent plant. Recent studies have shown that Catnip is many times stronger then DEET.

Horsemint

Another great mosquito repellent is Horsemint. Horsemint detours mosquitoes much like a citronella plant. Mosquitoes absolutely can not stand to be around the plant.

In addition to planting these plants, you can simply pinch a bloom or two off of each plant and crush them by rubbing them in your hands and simply rub it on your clothing and exposed skin. This will make the repellent stronger and protect your from the mosquitoes.

Peppermint Oil

Peppermint oil is commonly used for indigestion and nausea, but also seems to be effective at repelling insects and mice! It’s also a pretty little plant that looks nice and can be used to make some peppermint tea!

Eucalyptus

Although seemingly effective, most varieties of eucalyptus cannot stand temperatures drop below 27 degrees Fahrenheit. However, you can purchase the oil and keep some in a container on a table to repel mosquitoes.

These plants will help repel mosquitoes in your yard, but you can also make a repellent from them, crush the leaves and place in some rubbing alcohol. Once it is infused you can use it as you would normally use an aerosol or spray repellent!

Ouchh bitten already ???

Try moisten tobacco. Within seconds, the itch will be gone !

Want to splurge? Then get on with DIY natural mosquito repellent

  • Citronella Oil
  • Lemon Eucalyptus Oil
  • Cinnamon Oil
  • Castor Oil
  • Rosemary Oil
  • Lemongrass Oil
  • Cedar Oil
  • Peppermint Oil
  • Clove Oil
  • Geranium Oil
  • Possibly Oils from Verbena, Pennyroyal, Lavender, Pine, Cajeput, Basil, Thyme, Allspice, Soybean, and Garlic

Another plant-derived substance, pyrethrum, is an insecticide. Pyrethrum comes from the flowers of the daisy Chrysanthemum cinerariifolium.

READY ! Okay put all of these or whichever you fancy in a reed-diffuser.

And that you loathe Maida (all purpose flour) with a vengeance ! Well, there is nothing to really like in it too !

Preparation of Maida. White flour is created by removing the bran and germ from the wheat. which contains fiber and other nutrients, and germ, which consist of vitamin E and polyunsaturated fat, are removed. After the flour is ground in a flour mill (Chakki), it is passed through a fine mesh (600 mesh per square inch) to obtain maida. This is then bleached with Benzoyl peroxide and softened using Alloxan. Alloxan destroys beta cells in the pancreas.

Though sometimes referred to as “all-purpose flour” by Indian chefs, it more closely resembles cake flour or even pure starch

Considering we eat

  • 3 meals a day
  • Live upto 75 years of age
  • 1 year = 365 days
  • So In 1 year we eat 365 X 3 = 1095 times
  • In 75 years we eat 75 X 1095 = 82125 times

So effectively we eat during our lifetimes !

1 Meal: 27375 times Bread it being a major part of the breakfast

2 Meal: 27375 times Pasta it being a major part of the Lunch

3 Meal: 27375 times Pizza it being a major part of the Dinner

There is no escape !

From Acid-Forming Foods? If it means to avoid just the below list.

Then I would say Yes we can escape !

Pasteurized Milk and Dairy Products Almond milk

Granny would have told you just this !

And she is Always right 😉 !

Horchata vs Maida ?

It’s heart wrenching to know that today’s parents have no clue what is

  • good
  • bad
  • harmful
  • potentially fatal or
  • soul food

for their own blood.

It was easier to put our welfare in the dedicated hands of our Parents. Since then its been a serious downfall. Ask them about the Maida influx into the Roti devouring Indian culture. Maybe their own child is eating pasta/pizza everyday but what to do the dead grain wins over and above everything.

Is it that we have any dearth of good grains ? How about the list below to name a few ?

  • Raggi
  • Maize
  • Rice
  • Whole Wheat
  • Jowar

Came across something absolutely stunning and know you would all love to try it.

So ladies and Gentlemen  presenting Horchata

Horchata

Makes 7 servings
Adapted from recipes from Rick Bayless and David Lebovitz

2/3 cup white rice
2 cinnamon sticks
Pinch of freshly ground nutmeg
3 2-inch strips of lime zest (colored rind only) 3/4 inch wide
3 cups of hot water
3/4 – 1 cup sugar
3 cups of cold water

Grind the rice in a blender or spice grinder into fine pieces. Transfer to a medium-sized bowl and add in the cinnamon sticks, nutmeg and lime zest. Stir in 3 cups of hot tap water, cover and let stand at least 6 hours or preferably, overnight.

Remove the cinnamon sticks and pour the mixture into a blender and blend for 3 to 4 minutes, until it no longer feels very gritty. Add 2 cups of water, and then blend for a few seconds more. Set a large sieve over a mixing bowl and line with 3 layers of dampened cheese cloth. Pour in the mixture a little at time, gently stirring to help the liquid pass through. Squeeze the cheese cloth firmly to extract as much of the rice flavor as possible.

Add 1 cup of water and stir in your desired amount of sugar, mix until the sugar is dissolved. Taste, and adjust sweetness, if necessary. If the consistency is too thick, add additional water. Cover and refrigerate until you’re ready to serve. Stir before pouring.  Serve over ice with a sprinkling of ground cinnamon on top.
